Data Sharing
Only aggregated, anonymized data may be periodically transmitted to external services to help improve the App. We do not share personal information with third parties except as described in this policy or as required by law.

You can stop all collection of information by the App by uninstalling it using the standard uninstall process available on your device or app store.
Read-Along & Audio Data
The Read-Along feature uses artificial intelligence to process audio for the purpose of generating text and synchronization. We do not store copies of your private audio files on our backend servers. Processing is conducted solely to provide the service, and the audio content as well as the generated text remains private to your device.
Data Retention
User-provided data, if any, is retained only as long as necessary for the App’s functionality and a reasonable time thereafter. In the event an account is terminated for a violation of our terms, we reserve the right to retain the unique device identifier (UID) on a restricted list to prevent the creation of new fraudulent accounts. You may request deletion of your standard data by contacting us via the information below.
Cloud Sync
BooksVox allows you to connect third-party cloud storage services to stream audiobook files and, if enabled, synchronize your BooksVox data across devices.
Cloud Storage and Sync are handled directly between your device and your connected cloud storage service. BooksVox does not use any servers to receive, store, or process your cloud files or synchronized data.
When Sync is enabled, BooksVox may store information such as playback progress, bookmarks, notes, and other BooksVox metadata in your connected cloud storage account. This data is transferred directly between your device and the connected cloud storage service.
Authentication and access tokens for connected cloud services are stored locally on your device using the device's secure storage mechanisms.
The permissions requested by BooksVox may vary depending on the cloud storage service and the authentication mechanisms provided by that service.
You can disconnect a connected cloud storage service at any time from within BooksVox. Disconnecting a service does not automatically delete previously synchronized data from your cloud storage account. This allows you to reconnect the service later and restore your synchronized data. You can delete your BooksVox sync data from within the app at any time.
For Google Drive, BooksVox uses Google APIs to provide the relevant cloud storage features and handles Google user data in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy.
BooksVox does not collect, sell, share, or otherwise disclose your cloud files or synchronized data to any third parties.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of the App after any changes indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
